Central Park is an 843-acre public urban park located at the center of Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 1873 on city-owned land and attracts upwards of 37 million visitors per year.
In Die Hard with a Vengeance, this is one of the main locations John McClane drives through on his race to Wall Street Station.

The mysterious, insane bomber Simon tells John McClane and Zeus Carver that they have 30 minutes to travel 90 blocks to Wall Street Station in order to answer a payphone call and stop a bomb from detonating on a Brooklyn-bound 3 train. John hijacks a taxicab and discovers that rush hour traffic will slow them down, and they won't make it at this pace. John takes a shortcut through Central Park, driving on the grass, ripping up the topsoil and nearly killing several people. Zeus asks if he is aiming for the pedestrians, and John remarks that he may have been aiming for the mime. The car is nearly destroyed during this, as the car becomes covered in dirt and the hubcaps fall off. John manages to make it to the Wall Street station in time, barely preventing the bomb from killing all the passengers onboard the train.
Die Hard: Year One[]

In Volume One of the graphic novel series, set in 1976, the reader discovers that millionaire, New Yorker Walden Ford lives in a penthouse on Central Park. The luxurious atmosphere sets the tone for the character as a man of wealth and power. He goes so far as to threaten, his trophy wife, Daina with death if she so much as mentions the word 'divorce.' Alan Douglas is also seen answering a conspiratorial phone call from a payphone from the edge of the park.
Bethesda Fountain, 1977
In Volume Two , set in 1977, Teri Keller, using the false name Miss Kellogg, sets-up an ill-fated meeting at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Her meeting is with Garrett Rice, whom she wishes to employ to recover compromising photos held by her ex-lover in a security deposit box at a local bank. Ironically, she also bemoans that this was the same place where she met the aforementioned former lover for the first time.
