Mary Ellen Trainor (July 8, 1950 - May 20, 2015) was an American actress. She portrayed Los Angeles news reporter Gail Wallens in Die Hard. She also portrayed Gail Wallens in the 1991 film Ricochet. She died of pancreatic cancer in May 20, 2015.

CareerEdit

Trainor is perhaps best known for her role as Dr. Stephanie Woods in the Lethal Weapon franchise (the first two also featuring Die Hard actor Grand L. Bush). She has also appeared in Scrooged, Ghostbusters II, Back to the Future Part II, Death Becomes Her, Forrest Gump, Congo, Anywhere But Here, Moonlight Mile, Little Giants, and Freaky Friday.
